John Legend has achieved EGOT status, and he's the youngest person ever to do so. His Tony came later in 2017, when he produced the Broadway revival of Jitney.

An Emmy had been the only remaining piece of the EGOT crown missing from his trophy case.

The significance of the EGOT was not lost on him. Legend is also the first black man to achieve an EGOT in all competitive categories, as there are those secondary EGOT citizens who have honorary awards; nobodies like Babs Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Quincy Jones, James Earl Jones, and Harry Belafonte.

'So happy to be part of this team.

"Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert" received 13 Emmy nominations. So amazed to be in such rarefied air.

"Perfect", Teigen could be heard saying after Legend placed his latest award. "Perfect", she whispers n the background.

Woods follows brilliance with even-par Round 2 at BMW Championship
McIlroy plodded to a 69 to fall four strokes behind, while Woods (70) bogeyed the final two holes to slip five back. When I got away from it, and back when I was using the Nike putter, I'd always bring it out and hit putts with it.

Legend's wife, model Chrissy Teigen, celebrated her husband's honor on Twitter as well.

John Legend made history Sunday night. "It is an incredible moment for him and his family".

John Legend could also win another award at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday, where he is up for outstanding actor in a limited series or movie.

This is a special year for Lloyd Webber to reach the status as this year he also celebrates his 70th birthday.

They join 12 other EGOT recipients including Audrey Hepburn, Scott Rudin, Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg and Robert Lopez. So watch out because he might just win that too.

All three earned the coveted title by winning an Emmy for best variety special for NBC's "Jesus Christ Superstar, Live in Concert", with Legend as producer and Lloyd Webber and Rice as the composer and lyricist of the original 1970 musical.
