Cam Newton, Kelvin Benjamin Have Awkward Exchange Before Panthers-Bills Preseason Game

"If you would've put me with any other quarterback, let's be real, you know what I'm saying?"

For the Panthers, there were some unresolved issues between Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin.

Panthers star QB Cam Newton, who was the subject of Benjamin's recent rant, approached the former Panthers wideout before last night's Carolina-Buffalo preseason matchup, and the interaction wasn't pretty. "Just moving on from it".

Newton did his best to sidestep the comments by Benjamin. During pregame warmups, Newton appeared to attempt to make peace with Benjamin, who clearly had no interest in chopping it up with Newton before the Carolina quarterback shrugged off his former WR and gave up on the exchange.

Samsung Galaxy Watch review (early verdict): the Gear S3 successor has arrived
Battery life remains a hurdle for advanced smartwatches, as most can't go for more than about two days before needing a charge. Here, we'd expect to laud the Note 9 as a harbinger: it usually provides clues for the future of the Galaxy S series.

"I ain't gonna go back and forth with him, I'm just gonna work", Newton said.

Benjamin eventually requested a trade and landed in Buffalo in the middle of last season for draft picks.

Much of the discussion was inaudible from the video, but Newton did follow an agitated Benjamin as he attempted to walk away from the Panthers quarterback. Charlotte NBC News anchor Nick Carboni posted Benjamin's ripping of Newton on Twitter. Newton declined to speak to reporters after the game. He scored a first-quarter touchdown in the game against the Panthers, giving the Bills an early lead, then leaped into the stands to celebrate with Buffalo fans.
