Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 9 at its high-profile Unpacked event in NY on August 9.

The Galaxy Note 9 official video gives out most of the crucial information about the upcoming flagship and has the tagline "The new super powerful Note" appearing at the end.

KitGuru Says: I would have thought an unprecedented 8GB of RAM in a smartphone would count as a unique selling point, which leads me to believe that the Galaxy Note 9 will likely stick to the tried and tested 6GB RAM model.

As you might recall, Galaxy Note 7 was a big disaster for Samsung that ended up costing the company over $19 billion. We can also see that Samsung has indeed moved the fingerprint reader to a spot below the rear cameras rather than putting it to the right of them like on the Note 9. Today Samsung one-upped itself with a video leak of the Note 9. The intro video and product page have since been removed, as well as DMCA takedowns issued to those that ripped it to their own YouTube. But it does mean a 512GB variant will be available.

The video hits the high notes for the launch that Samsung has been teasing listing all day battery life, expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD cards. We don't usually report on unconfirmed rumours, but it is said that the phone might come with a 4000mAh battery, which represents a 21% increase over the Note 8's 3300mAh capacity. This 30-second promo video is embedded down below, for your convenience.

According to Dmitriy Ryabinin, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be available in 128GB and 512GB storage variants in Russian Federation.

But the official launch is coming next week at Samsung's August 9 Unpacked event, so get your "which rumors were right" Bingo cards ready.

The phone has been rumoured to be quite similar to Note 8 when it comes to its specifications.
