At this point, Ms Camerota reminded the presidential lawyers he had promised to talk to her "all day" about accusation of Russia's collusion into Donald Trump's victorious campaign in 2016.

"Hacking by foreign entities or anyone in the American campaign is assisting is a crime", he continued.

Mueller is investigating whether Trump campaign officials worked with Moscow to try to sway the 2016 US presidential election.

Giuliani told CNN on Monday that it remains unlikely that Trump will agree to answer questions from Mueller about Russian interference in the election and whether the president obstructed justice by trying to thwart the investigation.

Trump himself also said in a New York Times interview in December, "There is no collusion, and even if there was, it's not a crime".

The former NY mayor went on to say, "They can squeeze him, [but] Paul Manafort does not know anything...what I'm saying is, he was not involved with intimate business relationships with Donald Trump".

Giuliani's on CNN saying that Mueller's "conflicts" pollute his ability to run the Trump-Russia probe-but *won't describe* Mueller's exact conflicts. "'Collusion" and "coordination' are not legally relevant terms, but they are often used as shorthand to refer to such a criminal conspiracy", it said.

Anonymous sources told CNN that Mr. Cohen is willing to testify that the president knew about and approved the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting that his son Donald Trump Jr., his son-in-law Jared Kushner and former campaign chairman Paul Manafort held with Russians pitching campaign dirt on political rival Hillary Clinton.

That came after a confusing Monday morning media tour by Giuliani, during which he first floated his collusion as legal theory. No collusion, no obstruction.

Giuliani also vaguely questioned Mueller's fitness to lead the investigation, which he took over after Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey previous year.

Fordham University law professor Jed Shurgerman concurred, writing in Slate last week that "while "collusion" might not be a crime under any federal statute, any collusive conduct by the Trump campaign could be prosecuted as a 'conspiracy against the United States'".

Giuliani also said Mueller has "conflicts of interest".

Giuliani added that he had said Trump wasn't in the room for that meeting because there were in fact two different meetings.

"I think you're probably going to see indictments against both of those people".
