The blasts, triggered by a buildup of methane gas, caused a tunnel collapse at the first mine in the Marwar coalfields just before midday on Saturday.

Bodies of five miners were rescued on Sunday morning when the search operation commenced. Pakistani officials have said the collapse took place due to methane gas explosions.

Deputy Commissioner, Quetta, Farrukh Atique told PTI that 16 people have died in the collapse.

Emergency services were able to rescue nine others, who were brought to nearby hospitals. He said over a dozen laborers were still trapped in the mine.

Two bodies had been recovered and several injured labourers were evacuated on Saturday.

Clarkson PLC (LON:CKN) Rating Changes as of May 5, 2018
Two investment analysts have rated the stock with a hold rating and two have issued a buy rating to the company. Shore Capital reaffirmed a sell rating on shares of AO.com in a research report on Thursday, January 11th.

RISING number of deaths in mining accidents in Balochistan highlights the low level of safety in coal mines, many of which are unregistered and out of bound to officials of the Inspectorate of Mines.

Chief of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Muhammad Tariq also confirmed that 16 miners had been killed.

Under similar circumstances killed seven miners in a Spin. At least 11 people were wounded.

According to the Pakistan Central Mines Labour Federation (PCMLF), about 100 to 200 labourers die on average in coal mine accidents every year.

Coal mining on its own is a risky job but in Pakistan, the odds against the miners have a higher percentage as regulations are not implemented.
