BY NOW YOU KNOW that the Nintendo Switch is selling like hotcakes, but the company has confirmed that it's also a profit-making machine.

As part of a new release of financial information by Nintendo, today we learned how many Switch consoles have been sold to date.

It's no secret that the Nintendo Switch has been a massive success.

Shuntaro Furukawa, who grew up playing with the Famicom, had seized his chance to work for Nintendo in 1994. In his place will be 46-year-old Shuntaro Furukawa, who joined Nintendo in 1994 and is now in charge of the hardware giant's global marketing team.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo 3DS continued to perform strongly with 6.4 million sold, beating out the 5.28 million SNES Classic Edition retro consoles bought during the course of the reporting year. "He may be the flawless person to fill the communication gap that exists between Nintendo and investors".

The video also shows two overhead oxygen masks dangling from overhead module, having fallen when the Dreamliner hit turbulence. Passengers aboard Air India are coming to terms with a severe turbulence which left three injured and jet's window cracked.

Nintendo has delivered its financial results for the 2017 fiscal year, and things are looking pretty good across the board. "I will balance Nintendo's traditions: originality and flexibility".

It looks like the Nintendo Switch continues to sell extremely well. However, that's still below analysts' average estimate for ¥308.6 billion. Nintendo had sold 15.05 million units in the fiscal year ending on March 31. Kimishima-san oversaw the reveal and subsequent launch of the Switch, putting the company back on the right track after the Wii U failed to catch on. Nintendo expects to sell 100 million in the coming year.

Annual revenue from smartphone games rose 62 percent to 39.3 billion yen.

Furukawa becomes only the sixth president of Nintendo and follows in the footsteps of Nintendo's original president Fusajirō Yamauchi, Sekiryo Yamauchi, Hiroshi Yamauchi, Satoru Iwata, who sadly passed away in 2015 and predecessor Kimishima.
