Before departing, someone on the flight contacted the authorities, accusing Jacob A. Garcia of touching a woman inappropriately, the Miami-Dade Police Department told NBC News.

According to an arrest report, Garcia - who lives in Chicago - was accused by another passenger of touching his girlfriend.

Garcia was moved to another seat, but he started to scream and insult the female passenger and her boyfriend, states the police report.

A man aboard an American Airlines flight from Miami to Chicago Sunday night had to be shocked with a Taser and forcibly removed by police after allegedly assaulting another passenger. "Once law enforcement was on the aircraft, the passenger then became combative with the officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department", American Airlines said in a statement. Video of the incident was posted on social media, which shows Garcia fighting against the officers and refusing to get off the plane.

Andre Burakovsky to miss rest of Capitals' first-round series
I look for the Over in this one, especially since the Over is 4-0 the last four games between these teams here in Washington . There's no sense asking me things about the game", Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said.

Garcia's return to Chicago will be even further behind schedule - he was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges of battery, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer without violence, criminal mischief and attempting to deprive an officer with means of protection. A stun gun was deployed but did not appear to attach correctly due to Garcia's clothing. American Flight 2446 left the Miami airport an hour later than originally scheduled. Officer Desroches slapped Garcia's hand away, and Garcia made a second reach that Desroches parried.

In a video taken by another passenger, which has been verified by American Airlines, Garcia is seen being held back by three police officers while asking, "What is the reason you're removing me from this plane?"

The flight crew then began deplaning the aircraft after Garcia refused to get off on his own. During that process, a physical altercation between the two same passengers took place.

American said the passenger was ultimately arrested by law enforcement officials. We thank our crews and airport customer service team for their excellent work in this situation.
