Air strikes in Yemen

In late 2015, coalition air strikes on two wedding parties in northern Yemen killed at least 159 civilians.

Khaled al-Nadhri, the top wellness officer in the northern state of Hajja, told The Associated Press on Monday that almost all of the deceased have been women and children who were assembled in one of the tents setup for the wedding party while in the district Bani Qayis. At least 17 women and children were killed in the strikes, according to official sources.

The Saudi-led coalition which has been fighting Yemen's Houthi rebels said it was investigating the incident.

"We take this report very seriously and it will be fully investigated as all reports of this nature are", a spokesperson of the coalition said.

Video footage of a boy who survived the attack spread through social media, showing the child clinging to the body of what appeared to be his deceased father.

No one will be criminally charged for Prince's drug overdose, prosecutors say
Prince made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, where emergency responders gave him 2 shots of Narcan to save his life. A toxicology report after his death found an " exceedingly high " level of the opioid fentanyl in his body.

Saudi coalition air raids have repeatedly struck civilian targets while trying to target Houthi forces during the three-year war.

The Yemen war began in early 2015, when Houthi rebels drove the US-backed government of President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi out of the Yemeni capital of Sanaa.

It was not the first deadly strike on a wedding during Yemen's conflict, which has killed almost 10,000 people since the coalition intervened in March 2015 to battle the Iran-backed Huthis and restore Yemen's internationally recognised government to power.

"Attacks on residential areas and civilian targets and blocking the Yemeni people's access to global relief agencies and institutions are violations of humanitarian principles and rules".
