The same as the student offer, the new plan is provided with a single bill.

Spotify recently launched in South Africa, finally bringing the biggest (and in my opinion, best) music streaming service to our sunny shores. On its own, Spotify Premium runs $9.99 a month, and Hulu's cheapest Limited Commercials plan is $7.99.

One of the key differentiators with Spotify is that it not only has a subscription offering that gives users a vast library of music but also comes with a free, ad-supported offering. The deal is similar to an offering Spotify made to students beginning last fall.

Video will soon be critical for Spotify, given Apple's forthcoming plans for a TV subscription service that's filled with high-quality original video.

Users on the free service get only a few song changes, a 30 minute ad free playtime, they can not play every song and are not able to download music onto their devices.

The companies said they plan to make the offer available to consumers who don't now subscribe to Spotify later this summer.

An additional offer as part of the Spotify deal allows anyone who now subscribes to Spotify Premium to sample Hulu for 99 cents per month for three months, providing they have not been Hulu subscribers within the a year ago. To make this deal even more appealing, they will only be charging $1 for the first three months of Hulu access, not too shabby.

As a paying Premium customer, would you be happy about Spotify Free users having more control over play on mobile devices?

Spotify said the student offer was "incredibly well received".

The bundle will officially become available to all other users this summer. "This is just one example of how we can add value to our premium members day after day".
