On March 12, the company tweeted a photo of the pedestrian bridge at Florida International University, and captioned it, "We are thrilled to have performed structural monitoring during a spectacular bridge move by [Barnhart Crane] at [Florida International University, Miami]".

Attorneys for a man injured in the collapse filed what they said was the first civil lawsuit seeking damages.

Six crosses are placed at a makeshift memorial on the Florida International University campus in Miami on Saturday, March 17, 2018, near the scene of a pedestrian bridge collapse that killed at least six people on March 15.

The ceremony honored the people killed, including Alexa Duran, an 18-year-old student at FIU.

Lawyers representing Marquise Rashaad Hepburn said he was riding to work Thursday when the bridge came down, forcing a vehicle to veer out of the way and slam into him.

"We know this will be a hard week", university President Mark Rosenberg said in a statement.

By Sunday afternoon, most of the rubble had been cleared from the south side of Southwest Eighth Street.

Questions over the post-tensioning emerged in the evening of the collapse, and were prompted by information the US National Transportation Safety Board provided to local members of Congress, reports The New York Times.

Philippines to Withdraw from the ICC Immediately: Duterte
The Philippines on Friday informed the UN Secretary-General of its intention to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC ).

An FDOT consultant attended a meeting with the project engineers the day of the collapse, and participated in a discussion about the cracks, but FDOT says the engineers said there were no safety concerns and never asked for assistance from the department.

"The department was also not made aware by the FIU design build team of any scheduled "stress testing" of the bridge following installation and has no knowledge or confirmation from FIU's design build team of "stress testing" occurring since installation", FDOT said. The voicemail wasn't picked up until after the collapse, however.

"On Thursday morning (March 15, 2018), at 9:00 a.m., the design build team of MCM and Figg, convened a meeting at the MCM trailer, located on the construction site, to discuss a crack that appeared on the structure".

It said that it is the designer of the bridge, working for MCM.

Figg Bridge Engineers said that it will fully cooperate with every appropriate authority in reviewing what happened and why. Our priority focus continues to place sympathies for the victims at the forefront of our thoughts. An investigation over the coming months will determine exactly how the bridge failed.

Munilla Construction did not respond to a request from ABC News for comment, but a message on the company's answering machine, said, in part, "We are all devastated and are doing everything we can to assist".

Miami-Dade Police are also conducting a homicide investigation.
