Asked about Kane, who left the stadium on crutches after injuring his right ankle in Spurs' win over Bournemouth at the weekend, Southgate said: "I think the medical reports we have are that he will play well before the end of the season".

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been recalled to the England squad for upcoming friendly dates with the Netherlands and Italy.

England, who are without Harry Kane through injury, will travel to Netherlands on March 23 before hosting Italy on March 27.

"With Nick Pope his form has been excellent".

"We need to find out a bit more about them because if we lose one of our more experienced players then we will need them to fill the void, but Nick's form has warranted his place in the squad".

Tarkowski added: "It's a bit unexpected, but you work all your life to get to these moments".

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Officially Announced
Of course 2018 isn't just bringing a new Tomb Raider game - there's also a new film starring Alicia Vikander , out now in the UK. Lara's been through a lot, and we can imagine it's going to be an even more hard journey throughout her third game.

We've moved to a back three and maybe, in a four, it'd be different for someone like Joe Gomez, who fits perfectly on the right side of a three at the moment. "I'll wait and see and go from there", the former Charlton Athletic goalkeeper said.

I will be looking at which Manchester United players have the best chance of boarding the plane to Russian Federation.

"I know [Luke] has made big strides with Jose, Jose is very pleased with him", Southgate said. "His technical ability in the middle of the park will be very useful". In Jack's case, earlier in the season, he wasn't playing regularly at club level.

"He's getting closer to where we want him". It's a disappointment for us not to have Harry with us.

We'll keep you posted...

"And in those other matches, the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Marcus Rashford and Jamie Vardy have all stepped forward and scored important goals - and Jermain Defoe".

But both hope to take full advantage of the opportunity, in a World Cup year.
