The Razorbacks and Volunteers met on the opening weekend of conference play, a 95-93 Arkansas win in overtime December 30.

That started an 8-0 run which climaxed on a Stone layup with 12:49 left in the half, giving Florida an 18-10 lead.

In the Razorbacks' last contest, they defeated the No. 23 Florida Gators, 80-72.

The Gamecocks had 19 turnovers Thursday after having 18 in their 81-65 loss at Arkansas on February 6. "That's the difference in the game". It wasn't just the number of points Barford scored that was so impressive, but rather when - and how - he scored them.

Among others, SC has beaten SEC co-champ Auburn and also beat those Kentucky Wildcats that thumped Arkansas 87-72 at Walton.

"We fit the criteria, but it's not my decision", SC coach Frank Martin said. In the Vols' first game, Arkansas came back and won in overtime.
