'Woo!': Stephen Colbert reveals he'll interview James Comey next month

"I wanted to bridge the divide in this country and get people talking to each other", said Winfrey.

Colbert asked Winfrey about the idea of running for president again, and "God" made an appearance on the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theater. "As I was leaving, I was like, 'Somebody is going to be happy today, yes, '" she told People for this month's cover story. "God stops by every once in a while, he's a fan", Colbert told Winfrey, who was smiling in disbelief.

Colbert announced the appearance Tuesday night.

"God" then told Oprah he hears she's seeking a sign on whether she should run for office, before holding up a sign reading: "Run!" "Well, is this clear enough?" "I can't wait to tell Jesus". "Oprah", she told him.

"Well, all I can say, God, is that now "run" is now a part of my exercise routine".

"We're gonna need a bigger chair and I'm gonna need a stepladder to interview the guy", Colbert joked. "It's not something I've ever seen myself doing".

God hit back with a Donald Trump zinger: "Not really.have you seen this White House?" "Everything is gonna be okay and I'm sure you are going to find someone that you are just inspired by in 2020".
