Apple releases Battery Health tool for iPhones

Apple releases Battery Health tool for iPhones

Apple is now working on an iOS update codenamed "Peace" and a macOS update called "Liberty", expected to be released as iOS 12 and macOS 10.14, respectively. If the latest report is anything to consider, Apple is apparently working on a new iPad which will come with inbuilt Face ID.

Apple's shift is aimed at giving its engineers more time to fine-tune existing iOS capabilities, and reduce the pressure on them to deliver big, new, headline-grabbing features, according to a report in Bloomberg today that cited unnamed company insiders.

While it may suck to wait for new features, it will result in a better overall experience for iPhone and iPad users.

Apple has been criticized for several humiliating failures in quality assurance with iOS 10 and 11 related to the keyboard and Apple Pay Cash. "There are many layers of hardware and software protections built into our products, and we always encourage customers to update to the newest software releases to benefit from the latest protections", Apple said when enquired about the issue. After launching a series of updates that have contained bugs and undeveloped features, Apple's faced criticism from its users and developers. Bloomberg says third-party developers will be able to release iPhone and iPad apps on macOS. One of the most interesting, Gurman says, will enable developers to create apps that work on both macOS and iOS.

Apple has a very convincing rational behind delaying various features and adopting a new iOS release cycle.

Universal apps that work across iPhone, iPad and Mac are also set to arrive with iOS 12, according to past rumours. According to people familiar with the matter, Apple will focus on the next two years of updates of iOS on the iPhone and iPad.

Germany centre-left party set to confirm first female leader
The party's 464,000 party members will vote in a postal ballot on the deal, with the results expected to be announced on March 2. In a cartoon published on Tuesday, the Sueddeutsche Zeitung daily showed Nahles with a whip riding an SPD snail.

A new Bloomberg story has reportedly confirmed that.

There will be no redesign for the iPhone's home screen, nor an update to the photos app, following a new strategy by Apple's head of software Craig Federighi.

The code was leaked online via GitHub last week, which prompted Apple to order the website to take down the post, a report from TheVerge noted.

Unlike Google, Apple doesn't release separate updates for its default apps such as Messages, Calendar, or Mail.

Of the features on the iOS roadmap, first and foremost is deeper Siri integration. This new tool follows an open letter from two large Apple investors early this year who expressed concern that kids are too addicted to their digital devices.
