Russian Operative Offering Dirt on Trump Bilks US Spies Out of $100000

Possible Trump campaign ties to Russian Federation are now being scrutinized by special counsel Robert Mueller, who is also investigating whether the president or any of his aides tried to obstruct an investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

It is now known that Russian Federation, our enemy, did interfere with the last Presidential election.

The materials were stolen in 2017 by a group which calls itself Shadow Brokers.

USA intelligence officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the suitcase represented the first installment of an agreed $1 million payoff.

Those involved said that they initially became wary that the deal was not on the up and up because the Russian insisted so heavily on including the compromising information he claimed to have on President Trump and then quickly dropped his asking price from $10 million to $1 million when the Americans began to lose interest.

Several American intelligence officials said they made clear that they did not want the Trump material from the Russian, who was suspected of having murky ties to Russian intelligence and to Eastern European cybercriminals. Despite that, the Times sources claim that they paid the Russian primarily in order to obtain the stolen NSA and Central Intelligence Agency cyberweapons. But officials determined that information he was offering had already been published online.

Central Intelligence Agency spokesman Dean Boyd denied the story on Saturday, saying, "The fictional story that Central Intelligence Agency was bilked out of $100,000 is patently false".

Twitter makes its first profit as advertising sales rise
The firm has a market capitalization of $19,990.00, a P/E ratio of -61.74, a PEG ratio of 11.01 and a beta of 1.14. Malaga Cove Capital LLC purchased a new stake in shares of Twitter during the third quarter worth about $154,000.

That, at least, is the official story as reported by The New York Times Friday night.

To keep the deal from ending, the Russian also said he had information on Trump associates.

The $100,000 was paid in cash in a suitcase in a Berlin hotel room back in September and was supposed to be the first installment of a $1 million payout.

The Washington Post could not verify claims of any money changing hands.

Also unclear is why the United States would think it could retrieve stolen computer code and be assured that it would never be given to anyone else or released publicly.

An explosive memo declassified by Trump more than a week ago shows that top officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and DOJ used an unverified and politically motivated anti-Trump dossier to obtain a warrant to surveil Trump associate Carter Page.

On the other hand, the former official said, if the NSA and CIA were satisfied that their interlocutor had bona fide intelligence, paying for it might be a smart move. "That's peanuts. That's not even a rounding error with the budgets we're talking about".
