Washington Wizards' John Wall Out 2 Months

Wizards guard John Wall is expected to miss six weeks

Right now, Bradley Beal is leading the Wizards in scoring, and he is shooting at a higher percentage than co-star John Wall.

Unfortunately for Wall, he will miss his fifth All-Star Game next month.

The surgery will be performed by the head team physician for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dr. Richard D. Parker, the same specialist who performed Wall's double knee procedure in May 2016, and with whom he consulted for his November treatment. It just comes at an bad time for the Wizards. They've also gone 4-6 over their past 10.

Two years ago, it was easy to say who the best player in a Wizards uniform was. Hopefully it's nothing too serious for Wall, who missed Saturday's game with knee soreness.

USA seeks decisive action against Taliban after Afghanistan blasts
The bombing follows a more than 12-hour siege on the Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul that killed at least 22 people on January 20. Security forces have blocked off all roads in the area, Afghan media outlet Tolo said.

Neither team shot particularly well: The Wizards wound up making 38.2 percent of their field-goal attempts - they missed 13 consecutive 3-point tries in one stretch - and the Thunder were at 37.5 percent.

Wall, averaging 19.4 points and 9.3 assists this season, originally hurt his left knee just ten games into the season against Dallas and has been dealing with issues ever since. For people who are hoping Bradley Beal can take a step up and lead this team with Wall out, think again. The Wizards would have to go 5-15 in their next 20 games to really start sweating the John Wall injury. Moreover, with the trade deadline just ten days away and the Wizards having little wiggle room with salary it could be a tricky prospect for the Wizards brain trust.

Though the Wizards are now sitting in fifth place in the Easter Conference, they still boast one of the best backcourts in all of the National Basketball Association. Still, Wall's latest surgery has to infuse some reasonable doubt in that vision, one that once had Wizards fans dreaming of DeMarcus Cousins teaming with his former Kentucky teammate this summer. They could struggle to remain in the playoff hunt with Wall missing multiple games.
