Union parliamentary affairs minister Ananth Kumar, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders of various political parties attended the meeting. Kumar said the "government will do everything to ensure passage of the triple talaq bill in the session".

"Even several credit rating agencies like World Bank have given positive opinion about India", Modi said.

The 68-day long budget session of Parliament begins on Monday with the ceremonial address of President Ram Nath Kovind at the joint sitting of both the Houses in the Central Hall.

The session will also witness the Government making all out efforts to pass key pending Bills, including politically sensitive triple talaq Bill by narrowing down the differences on it with the Opposition, particularly the Congress.

Addressing the floor leaders of the various parties in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Modi said the government accords importance to issues raised by the parties and urged their leaders to create a "constructive atmosphere for the national good".

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will present the Budget 2018 for the fiscal year 2018-19 on February 1.

"Leaders of various parties have assured of their cooperation and smooth functioning of the House", she told reporters after the dinner meeting.

"I hope session goes on smoothly", Sumitra Mahajan said after the meeting. The government is expected to give a fresh push for passage of the triple talaq legislation and a bill seeking constitutional status for the OBC commission during the session.

"We want to raise these issues as they are important".

On the forthcoming session, he said, "We feel the Budget session will be very successful and fruitful". After a recess, Parliament will meet again from March 5 to April 6.

He also said that in this session the parties would get a month's time and they should make most use of our healthy system of parliamentary committees and discuss various aspects of the budget.
