Jimmy Kimmel still has nightmares about the Oscars flub

Following the full Academy Award nominations that were revealed this morning, ABC has released a new hilarious new promo for the awards ceremony featuring host Jimmy Kimmel as he's haunted by last year's Best Picture fiasco.

While Jimmy Kimmel will be returning to host the Academy Award this year, it took a bit of convincing to get him on board.

In the minute-long promo, United States talk show host Kimmel is seen reliving the mix-up that saw La La Land named best picture instead of rightful victor Moonlight.

The most nominations went to The Shape of Water, which racked up 13 nods, including Best Picture, Best Director, "and Outstanding Achievement in Fish Penis Design", Kimmel said.

The changes he has made at the C.I.A. have resulted in substantive achievements, though few could be discussed publicly, Mr.

But in true late-night TV fashion, Kimmel found a way to sneak in a President Trump joke.

The muddled moment is featured at the beginning of the new ad as Kimmel awakes from a nightmare and reveals he's always thinking about the Best Picture mishap, joking he can no longer open an envelope as mail piles up at his door. Colbert stated that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences selected two of Entertainment Weekly's Top Entertainers of 2017, so that they could pit their Twitter followers against each other, and whoever loses the golden statue would make their fan base freak out on the social media network. To Colbert's mind, there's another monster that del Toro's fish man could represent: "It's a great story", Colbert said of the film.

Kimmel also acknowledged the historic nominations of Greta Gerwig, who became the fifth woman and Jordan Peele, who became the fifth African American, to be nominated for Best Director. "I hope he's seen Get Out".

"In the past, it was #OscarsSoWhite; but this year, it's #OscarsSoSorry", added Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr. The Oscars also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide. "Meryl Streep was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in The Post-then she was nominated for a second Academy Award for acting surprised that she was nominated for the first one".
