Apple Offers $29 Battery Replacement For iPhone 6 And Later Models

Apple is now selling replacement batteries for select iPhone models at a discounted rate earlier than we expected.

Apple's latest update will include the aforementioned new feature, so until it hasn't been released yet, users have a couple of options to check on their iPhone battery's performance. "Initial supplies of some replacement batteries may be limited", Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller told ABC.

Apple made the move to address concerns about the quality and durability of its products at a time when it is charging $999 for its newest flagship model, the iPhone X.

Apple also launched a special Internet page for consumers to get more information about iPhone batteries and performance.

If you don't want to wait for Apple, iFixit has another option. Following the recent controversy of slowing down of iPhones, Apple has apologized its customers for battery related issues and announced that it will replace the batteries for iPhone 6 and later phones at a discounted price.

House of Commons approved the bill for the Brexit
This is a critical piece of legislation that aims to maximise certainty for individuals and businesses after our exit". The outcome of the vote was victory for Prime Minister Theresa May over her political opponents who want a Soft Brexit.

"I think more people will update their battery than buy a new phone, globally", he said.

"We've been hearing feedback from our customers about the way we handle performance for iPhones with older batteries and how we have communicated that process", Apple said yesterday in its online apology.

Even though Apple meant to keep older iPhones operational for a longer period, its admission still fueled conspiracy theory that it intentionally slowed down old iPhones to compel owners to purchase its new iPhone models. After all, your battery replacement will be handled in-store by a certified Apple technician, and should result in you receiving a device that is wholly intact, complete with waterproofing (i.e. iPhone 6s and iPhone 7). This offer was expected to go live in late January, but it seems that it is now live earlier than expect.

The iPhone maker had been facing lawsuits and criticism from customers after the company had admitted it was managing peak performance on older iPhones.

The company has stated that it would never deliberately shorten the lifespan of any Apple product, as the "goal has always been to create products that our customers love, and making iPhones last as long as possible is an important part of that".
