The poll, polled among 1,106 voters from January 5-9, also found American voters opposing 63 - 34 percent building a wall along the U.S. -Mexico border.

The poll, which surveyed 940 voters, also found that a majority of Georgia voters - 57 percent - are not satisfied with the way things are going in the United States, AJC reported.

Asked to grade Trump's first year in office, 43 percent gave Trump an A, B or C. Thirty-nine percent gave him an F, while 17 percent gave him a D. A total of 66 percent say the economy is "excellent" or "good" - an all-time high since Quinnipiac began asking the question in 2001, which the president tweeted Thursday morning - but 49 percent say former President Barack Obama is responsible, compared to 40 percent who think Trump is responsible.

Even worse, an wonderful 57 percent of respondents said Trump is "not fit for office" and 69 percent said he isn't "level-headed".

The poll held a few positives for the president: 59 percent say he is "a strong person", with 39 percent disagreeing.

Seventy-three percent of voters also believed their personal financial situation was "excellent" or "good" and 26 percent said theirs was "not so good" or "poor". Sixty-five percent said Trump does not share their values. The tax plan will increase their taxes, 33 percent of voters say, as 24 percent say the plan will reduce their taxes and 37 percent say it will not have much impact.

The Quinnipiac University Poll conducts nationwide public opinion surveys, and statewide polls in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, Iowa and Colorado as a public service and for research.
