FBI Agent Dismissed From Russia Investigation Following Anti-Trump Messages

Page did at one point express concern that she and Strzok were texting about politics, telling Strzok, "So look, you say we can text on that phone when we talk about Hillary because it cant be traced", according to CBS News. Some messages criticized Clintons team, the Obama administration, Congress and other Democrats.

In one March 2016 message Politico cited, Page wrote: "God trump is a loathsome human....omg he's an idiot". And yet their texts were released and Strzok has been removed from the Trump-Russia investigation.

Wednesday's hearing gave lawmakers the opportunity to grill Rosenstein publicly on his views of everything from Trump's cable news-fueled rages about the Justice Department's handling of various investigations to Mueller's investigation.

Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte of Virginia seized on the Strzok-Page disclosures to launch a broadside on the Mueller investigation, saying that the communications were "deeply troubling" and threatened the impartiality of the special counsel's inquiry and Justice Department operations.

Burr said the revelation of the texts is a good "inflection point" for Mueller to examine his team, but said he still has confidence in the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director's ability to do the job.

Critics of the probe may win praise from Trump, who has been pressured by some allies to push back.

The Justice Department official overseeing the investigation of possible Trump campaign ties to Russian Federation says he has no reason to fire the special counsel leading the probe. It is highly unusual for the government to release these types of documents until such an investigation is complete. "Im not going to lie, I got a flash of nervousness yesterday about Trump".

After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more), running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters - worst in History! Days later, the FBI began investigating possible coordination between Russian officials and the Trump campaign. Those messages, which occurred before Mueller was appointed in May to investigate potential coordination between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign, show the officials using words like "idiot" and "loathsome human" to characterize Trump as he was running for president in 2016.

Some of the G-rated texts referred to Mr. Trump as "awful", an "idiot", and a "loathesome human being". The FBI director, Christopher A. Wray, said last week at a congressional hearing that he could not discuss the texts because of the continuing investigation.

"That's the inspector general's job", Rosenstein responded.

Jessica Jones returns for second season in March
And while he isn't seen in this trailer, we do know that David Tennant's Kilgrave will factor into the season. But it's all worth it for the shade that she throws on Spider-Man 's most famous catchphrase.

The FBI declined to comment.

Working telephone numbers for Strzok and Page could not immediately be found.

Strzok had been considered one of the most experienced and trusted FBI counterintelligence investigators. Jerry Nadler of NY, said Republicans threatened to cross out of normal party politics and seriously damage respect for the Justice Department and rule of law.

The accusations against Strzok are raising eyebrows, because he personally changed the description of Hillary Clinton's actions during the email investigation from "grossly negligent" to "extremely careless".

Strzok described himself in one text as a "conservative Dem".

Nadler, who is serving as the acting ranking member in the wake of Michigan Rep. John Conyers' resignation, said he understands Republicans' "desire to change the subject" after the recent high-profile indictments of Trump campaign advisers. "The things that made me proud about our tolerance for dissent".

Page replies, "Yeah, that's not good". I, for one, would certainly be interested in the texting history of the FBI's NY office.

"Report:?ANTI-TRUMP FBI AGENT LED CLINTON EMAIL PROBE", Trump said on Twitter on December 3.

The Justice Departments decision to provide the texts to Capitol Hill in the middle of an investigation is also likely to attract scrutiny from Democrats.
