Hamas terror tunnel discovered under United Nations refugee agency's school in Gaza

Hamas spokesperson Abdul-Latif Qanou said that any resumption of the security coordination is rejected and only benefits the Israeli occupation, adding that it harms the resistance and the national reconciliation.

UNRWA, the United Nations body that exists exclusively to serve Palestinians "refugees", has yet again discovered a terror tunnel running under one of its schools in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.

Despite the threat of retaliation, Islamic Jihad is regarded as having far less capacity to retaliate than Hamas, which has fought three conflicts with Israel in Gaza.

Several times during the 2014 war Hamas militants caught Israeli soldiers off guard by entering the country through tunnel networks.

Ashraf Al Qudra, a Gaza Health Ministry spokesman, said five people were killed.

Shubir was from Hamas's armed wing, the Ezzedine Al Qassam Brigades confirmed, while the others were believed to be from Islamic Jihad, an allied group.

The incident raised tensions between Israel and the Palestinians, with both Hamas and Islamic Jihad vowing revenge.

Number of billionaires worldwide soars above 1500
The reports says that growth is being driven by Asia, with three quarters of all new billionaires coming from India and China . The total wealth of billionaires surged to six trillion dollars last year, more than 17 percent than a year ago.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman hailed the IDF for destroying the attack tunnel, with the two leaders attributing its discovery to Israel's new "breakthrough technology".

The IDF also said that Hamas is "responsible for all hostile activity" emanating from the Gaza Strip directed at Israel.

During Protective Edge, a major tunnel infiltration aimed at the residents of a kibbutz near the Gaza border was thwarted just as terrorists were emerging on the Israeli side.

Hamas is due to hand control of Gaza back to the Palestinian Authority by 1 December under the agreement.

Israel and the United States have meanwhile said that Hamas must disarm as part of any unity government.

Abbas wants the handover to be comprehensive and include all security institutions, but the Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, has said "no one" can force his group to disarm.

The two groups have governed the occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip respectively ever since.
